"Oppenheimer" y "Poor Things" lideran la carrera al Oscar de la Academia

“Oppenheimer” con 13 nominaciones y “Poor Things” con 11 lideran las nominaciones al Premio de la Academia, coloquialmente conocidos como “Oscars” (Oscares).
“Oppenheimer” basada en la vida de Robert Oppenheimer uno de los creadores de la bomba atómica, está nominada en las categorías de mejor película, mejor director (Christopher Nolan), mejor actor (Cillian Murphy), mejor actriz secundaria (Emily Blunt), mejor actor secundario (Roberto Downey Jr), mejor banda sonora, por mencionar algunas.

Por su parte, la producción “Poor Things” del director Yorgos Lanthimos, està nominada como mejor película, mejor director, mejor actriz (Emma Stone), mejor actor secundario (Mark Ruffalo) y mejor banda sonora, entre otros.
Pese a estar nominada como mejor película, la producción más taquillera del 2023, “Barbie” fue ignorada en otros rubros importantes como mejor actriz o mejor director, aunque Ryan Gosling logró una nominación como mejor actor secundario y America Ferrera como mejor actriz secundaria. El film además anotó dos nominaciones en la categoría de mejor canción original.
“Killers of the Flower Moon” drama dirigido por Martin Scorsese, le da al aclamado director su décima nominación, un récord en la categoría y a la actriz Lily Gladstone, con su nominación a mejor actriz, el privilegio de ser la primera nativo americana en ser nominada en este rubro. El film también está nominado como mejor película.
El compositor John Williams logra su nominación número 54 en la categoría mejor banda sonora. Esta vez lo hace por “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”. Williams supera así su propio record.
Con todo y las quejas, las nominaciones fueron bastante inclusivas, incluyendo en muchas de las categorías importantes a varios actores afroamericanos.
La ceremonia será el próximo 10 de marzo.
